The Reclaimed life: Plastic bottles
Lets take back our life with the reclaimed and repurposed ways of living. There are so many ways we can reuse items we already have and save money time and you can teach your children how to repurpose while spending quality time with them.
What can be reclaimed? Just about anything you can think of, but I like to think in terms of one step at a time I think picking one thing and starting and successfully finishing is much better than having a whole list of projects and only a few things get started. Doing one thing at time seems like your are not accomplishing as much when you getting more done. The time alone contemplating an overwhelming list can be time consuming.
So I will be once a week posting new reclaimed projects that can save you time money and can turn into something fun the whole family can do!
PLASTICS:
We all seem to consume a lot of plastic bottles. Bottles can quickly fill up our trash cans, just imagine how they are filling up our dumps. I have found some awesome tutorials on what you can do with plastic bottles, and I mean some useful ideas not just craft projects...even though those are fun for the kiddos, I think if it is going to be up-cycled it needs to at least have a really good purpose.
Pencil pouches:
I do realize that this DIY is Japanese, but I thought with the picture tutorial it could definitely be figured out and these are just so cool I just couldn't pass them up, I can see my kiddos school supplies and art supplies organizes in these nifty little containers.
Plastic bottle greenhouse:
This may a little bit more ambitious but is something that I will definitely do. Creating a plastic bottle greenhouse makes for an easy and cheap way to construct this building and with the amount of bottles used I bet that you could collect enough bottles from family and friends in no time.
The bottom picture shows a bed made from these bottles it was attached to the greenhouse picture but considering the cost it is for a box spring you could easily make this bed and then if you are not a fan of the plastic you could cover it up with a bedskirt.
Plastic bottle planters:
To go with your greenhouse you can turn your leftover bottles into starter planters for your plants!
Pet food dish:
This is one is for our furry friends:)
Necklace from bottles:
If you would have asked me what this was made from I would have no idea that it was from plastic bottles so cute!
Several cute ideas for plastic bottles:
Scoop it:
Plastic bottle lamp:
I can see a cluster of these in a room !
Ok that should have given you some fun ideas to start making some fun plastic items. Let me know what you are making and if you come up with any projects on your own.

Featured shop: So. ME by MolleeV
I loved it had a classy retro look with an elegant twist that is faith infused. All her items represent her and her faith in God. As she says" I love God and Fashion" so she put the two together and has made something that is SO New and So wonderful! I love the looks that each of her pieces brings and I already have many items on my to buy list.
Molly has such a great sense of style and I can defiantly see why she has celebrities sporting her style. People such as Nicole Richie,Emily Maynard from the ABC's The Bachelorette and her wrislets where seen in the show Pretty Little liars.
Another key ingredient to what makes her stand out to me is her custom items, I am huge fan of customizing I think it gives every item something special and unique that no one else can have.

HAPPY EARTH-DAY! TIPS TO SAVE MONEY AND HELP SAVE THE PLANET!
Happy Earth day everyone here are some great tips to save some moo-lah and keep our planet happy and healthy:)
- Make your own bath & body products. This is a great way to help the environment and help with consumerism. By making your own bath and body products you can reuse containers cutting back on waste and also all homemade soaps are chemical free and much healthier for your hair & skin. They are also much cheaper more like $1 for 24oz bottle or less. This is something that helps in 3 major ways and when you make your own products you are control of what goes into them meaning you can adjust it all for your skin and hair types and if you want you can add something extra like avocado oils and such to help fight aging and promote healthy skin.
For recipes and more info check out this site http://www.pioneerthinking.com/beauty/
-Grow a garden. I know this seems simple but when you grow your own veggies and fruits you are getting chemical free fresh produce. You be amazed how much a few plants in a garden will yield maybe enough to share with your neighbor. Go to the store less eat from your own garden and reap the wonderful benefits that healthy foods can offer and of course mother earth loves when something is planted it is a win win!
-Repurpose and reuse ad recycle. It is the 3 R's and they are oh so important to keeping our earth on track and litter free. As you know I talk a lot about where waste is going and how landfills are showing up in our backyards. It is important to remember these three R's, you can help with the environment and you are going to save money:) Take items you dont like anymore and see if you can turn them into something that can be repurposed, from clothes to furniture you be surprised what a little repurpose facelift can do for something. You resources are endless, google has made it to where we dont have to leave our home to get any info we need. Need help repurposing something try google...if that doesn't work write me I am always up for a challenge!
If there is something that you absolutely dont want either recycle it or take it good will the old saying i, one mans trash is another mans treasure, you never know who will love what you donate and it keeps it all out of dumps which is the most important part.
Other quick tips!
-Make your own laundry detergent, easy peasy and oh so cheap
-Make your own house hold cleaning products
-turn cardboard, bags and scraps into art projects with the kids.
-Shop your local thrift stores you would be amazed what you can find...dont be scared I buy all my clothes second hand I bet you would never know:)))
Ok folks that is all for now!! I hope you like the new blog I did a makeover on it and I have added a personal section talk about my life.....Go check it out!!
